Brothers are the best

Crue and Cooper have times that they get along great, and times that they fight. They sure have fun together though and it's fun for us to watch them. Lately, Cooper has made sure Crue is getting the same thing. It's mostly when we have food. If Jared comes home from work and has a slice of cheese, the boys always come running. If Cooper is the only one that comes Jared will give him a piece, and then being concerned for his older brother he asks, "Crue?" and holds out his other hand. We'll ask if he wants to take one to Crue and he says "uh huh" and nods. Jared gives him another piece and he runs and gives it to Crue. He does it with anything we have - cheese, tortilla, bread, cookie, etc. If we hand him something and tell him to give it to Crue, he runs and gives it to Crue and doesn't eat it (as long as he has his own to eat).

The other day I hear Crue and Cooper saying the following:
Crue: Cooper, say one.
Cooper: one
Crue: two
Cooper: two
This went on all the way to ten. They've done this a few times and it's pretty cute to watch. Then today, I hear Cooper starting to say some of the numbers with no one prompting him. I tell him to count and say one and then let him repeat it and say the rest of the numbers without being prompted this time. He did it! He can count all the way to ten by himself! And the part that I think is the best? His brother taught him.

These two will be good friends. I'm excited to see how they are growing up together. Crue loves to help Cooper. When we go for a walk he makes sure to hold Cooper's hand. He'll also hold his hand to help him down a step. They sure are cute together. I hope they always will be.

That is so great that those boys get along so well. And what a good example Crue is for Cooper. Can you imagine how both of them will bodyguard that adorable sister? :)

That is SO sweet! I love that he loves his older brother. They will be friends forever.

BTW- I LOVE that dress you made that I got from the auction. I have the perfect matching headband for it and Reese looks so cute in it. I'll have to put a picture of her in it on my blog.
