Crue turned 4

So I'm a little late. He turned 4 at the end of last month. All he wanted was a bike. When I asked what kind of birthday he wanted he said a bike birthday with a bike cake. I made him a funfetti cake with green frosting and a brown frosting "trail". Kyle (my brother) got him a little bike that we put on the cake and told him that was his bike he was getting for his birthday. I think he got a little sad but it was only a few days until his birthday so we kept it up.
The bike even has a front brake to do tricks. See the little black button at the bottom of where the handle bars meet? Push that for a brake.
Blowing out his candles. He put the bike in the cake. He was pretty excited for it. We let the kids play and then had the cake and ice cream.
He had lots of help opening his presents after cake and ice cream and definitely got spoiled. (See his cousin next to him with the batman shirt? They look like brothers and they're only 5 months apart. So fun for them.)

When Crue was all done opening presents Kyle handed Crue a birthday card. Inside was a picture of the main bathroom. It was the first clue of a picture scavenger hunt that sent him a few places around the house. Then it led him to outside the garage where there was a present and one of the garage remotes. The present was a bike helmet. He opened the garage and found.....
 ....a bike!
He didn't show much emotion when he found it but he has sure loved riding it around. Unfortunately it broke either later that day or the next and it was at Walmart for a little over a week until I went and asked about it. Almost 2 weeks after his birthday he finally got it back.
He had lots of help riding it and was already giving rides (not sure he had much choice - it was a hit with everyone:)).
What a cute boy. :)

I can't believe he's four already. Like they say, where did the time go? Sometimes I'll look at him and think, holy cow he's getting big. He still loves his mom though and I love every second of it. He still give me big hugs and kisses. He is a good helper for me. He says the funniest things and makes us laugh. He loves to make his baby sister laugh (and can make her laugh more than anyone). I love his big smile and his laugh, and his cute little freckle face. I ask him if he's mommy's buddy and he smiles and nods.
I love my little Crue buddy!

Thanks to Kyle and Cass for the pictures!
